BetterLife ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
When you create an account, we collect:
We do not collect: your name, phone number, location, contacts, or any device identifiers.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU region. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
With your explicit permission, BetterLife reads your daily step count from Google Health Connect. We use this data only to display your step activity within the app and to include it in your personal health log. We request read access to step data only.
We do not share, sell, or transfer Health Connect data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in the Health Connect app; BetterLife works without it, and you can also enter your steps manually. Health Connect data we read is stored in your personal account under the same terms as your other app data, and is deleted when you delete your account.
Journal entries are protected by a 4-digit PIN you set on your device. The PIN is stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read your journal entries.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account).
BetterLife is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
